How to create your read-only Private App token

  1. In HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Private Apps.
  2. Click Create a private app and name it anything (e.g. “PortalGrade Audit”).
  3. Under Scopes, enable read access for your contacts, companies, and deals — plus automation if applicable.
  4. Create the app, then copy the access token and paste it into the form.

Your token and data are safe

Your Private App token is used once, only to read the company data needed for your report — we never write to or modify your portal. We do not sell, share, or store your data, and your token is never disclosed to any third party. For your security, we recommend deleting the Private App immediately after you receive your report (Settings → Integrations → Private Apps → Delete). It takes two clicks and instantly revokes all access.
